I’m So Happy To Be Able To Tell All Of You That I Am Now A Contributing Editor For BlogHer.

Be The Change You Want To See In Yourself is not just the name of this blog, but they are also the words I have tried to live by…..sometimes successfully, sometimes not so much. Since starting this blog, and my other three blogs; I have been working very hard to become a better blogger and a better writer. It seems to have paid off…….

I’m so happy to announce that I have been given the most wonderful opportunity as a contributing editor for BlogHer.org; in a capacity that will also allow me to support other women bloggers.

Here is a recent article from The New York Times, featuring the founders of BlogHer.org.

A Call for Manners in the World of Nasty Blogs

Is it too late to bring civility to the Web?

The conversational free-for-all on the Internet known as the blogosphere can be a prickly and unpleasant place. Now, a few high-profile figures in high-tech are proposing a blogger code of conduct to clean up the quality of online discourse.

The preliminary recommendations posted by Mr. Wales and Mr. O’Reilly are based in part on a code developed by BlogHer, a network for women designed to give them blogging tools and to guide readers to their pages.

“Any community that does not make it clear what they are doing, why they are doing it, and who is welcome to join the conversation is at risk of finding it difficult to help guide the conversation later,” said Lisa Stone, who created the guidelines and the BlogHer network in 2006 with Elisa Camahort and Jory Des Jardins. — read full article

Anyway, I hope you will all check me out at BlogHer.org, you will find me at Health and Wellness — And, if you are a “Her” blogging, you should think about joining all the other women bloggers over at BlogHer.org — and checking out some of the great women bloggers from their blogroll.

Catherine, just to let you know, there was a really interesting post on Ann Althouse’s site (www.althouse.blogspot.com) a while back (with lots of commentary) about the Blogger Code of Ethics that these ladies supported. Also, Bloggingheads.tv had a lively discussion about it, too. Just thought you’d be interested in that.

  4. Thanks so much, I’ll check it out.

  5. Best of wishes in your new opportunity. I hope you enjoy it.
