This is my second update on Taking It Five Pounds At A Time.

I did great this week at staying away from the sugar, and that was my goal. But, I didn’t lose anymore weight, and I know why. I’m not really a fast-food person, but this week I fell into the fast-food trap. Actually, it was the Nacho Cheese Chalupa trap. (Truth be told – I fell into this trap twice this week.)

The image “https://i2.wp.com/www.weeklyreader.com/readandwriting/content/binary/chalupa.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors.

This is the story. (And you’ll see it was really not my fault at all, it was obviously all my daughters fault.) My daughter loves Taco Bell and I love Chalupas. My daughter wanted to go to Taco Bell, so we did. I ate a couple of Chalupas. Moral of the story – Don’t eat Chalupas when you are on a diet.

So there you have it. I took one step forward and two steps back. But I’m not going to give-up. I am pressing on, and looking forward to a more productive week. For more inspiration I decided to do my BlogHer post this week on diet blogs. I searched BlogHer for as many diet blogs as I could find, and I am using these sites for ideas and motivation.

You can check out my post “A Recipe For Weight-Loss” at BlogHer.

  1. I love the mini goal approach. Everyone slips now and then, the important thing is to keep striving to eat healthy and stick with it. So you get lots of nonfattening brownie points for not letting a slip at taco bell cause you to give up. Way to often folks slip once, and decide to just give up (I’ve been known to it myself in the past). Lady Rose (81 lbs lost so far, a mere 70ish to go!)

  2. Hi Lady Rose – Thanks for the words of encouragement. Your blog is one of the diet blogs I linked over on BlogHer…I think you have a great site.

  3. “it was the Nacho Cheese Chalupa trap”

Wanna stop that? Swing by the Taco Bell website and look at the nutritional content of the Taco Bell food. Disgusting Calorie fest. It ruined my appetite. 🙂

  4. “Totaltransformation”

Thanks, I’ll have to check out the website…and stay away from Taco Bell. 🙂

  5. You’re still halfway to your first mini goal. I hope you enjoyed the chalupas.

Looking forward to meeting you in Chicago.

  6. For the record…The chalupas were NOT worth it, but I am putting it behind me.

Looking forward to meeting you at the BlogHer Conference too.
