3rd Week DIET UPDATE — Taking It Five Pounds At A Time

Posted by Catherine Morgan on June 4, 2007

Well, it’s the third week and I lost one more pound. So altogether I lost three pounds in three weeks, that’s not so bad.

Some of the things I did right this week were; I stayed away from sugar and the Taco Bell, I increased my veggie intake, and I started taking a fiber supplement.

I don’t think I did anything “wrong”…but I am going to do a few things better this week.

#1 – I’m going to stop eating food after 8PM at night. I know that sounds late, but I am often up until 1am or 2am…so it won’t be easy.

#2 – I’m going to start swimming a few laps in my pool. Swimming is the one exercise I am able to do without affecting my medical condition, and now that it is warm out I can use the pool.

#3 – I’m going to try and eat Wild Salmon at least twice a week. I can get individually wrapped Salmon at our Walmart, and that works good for me since my kids don’t eat it.

Hopefully with these adjustments I will lose another pound. Wish me luck.

It’s all good! You’re doing what you need to do: Eating better is a great start. Are you adding any exercise to your regimen?

  2. I’m going to start swimming some laps. But I have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, so exercise can make my symptoms worse.

    This is my CFS blog…

and this is a post I did on exercise and CFS…

Thanks for your comment, and your support.

  3. That all sounds like excellent news. Keep up the hard work.

It can be hard to lose weight without exercise, but if you eat healthy enough you can make the journey- it will just take a bit longer.

BTW does your CFS keep you from even limited weight training? Because to tell the truth I have been horribly inconsistent with cardio, but I lift weights regularly.

I just came across your blog…congrats on the weight loss so far, and keep it up!
Have you thought about chiropractic care at all? Chiropractic care can help more than just back pain and headaches, but it boosts the functioning of the nervous system. I encourage you to find one, and I can help with that if you need any.

    Hello, This is Mary

I am 36 years old with 2 toddlers. My youngest just started day care last week- which still feels a little strange. I haven’t had this much time to myself in years. First thing I want to do is lose the extra pounds I put on during the last pregnancy. One of the girls next door has suggested I join her walking group two days a week. After my first pregnancy I lost around 35 pounds using the Herbalife products, but when I called the man that sold them to me three years ago he told me this week he doesn’t sell them anymore. He told me to look on the internet. It’s disappointing because he was really nice and he called me regularly to make sure I was using their products correctly. It was nice to have someone checking in with me every week to see how I was and it kept me motivated.

I searched on the internet for someone that sells Herbalife in New Jersey. I found many websites but I don’t want
just to buy the products, I want to find someone trustworthy that sells the products so I can also meet them and get started again.

Could anybody here recommend someone in New Brunswick?.

    Thanks, Mary
